Amanda Odoi is a feminist, gender expert, development practitioner, social justice advocate and an academic. Amanda currently works as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Gender Research, Advocacy and Documentation (CEGRAD), University of Cape Coast where she has for the past eight years engaged in research, advocacy training and teaching activities on women’s and gender issues for the university community and external bodies that seek her services. She was a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion consultant for Australia Awards Africa from 2016 to 2020. She was also the MDF West Africa Gender consultant for the Ghana-Netherlands WASH project for the KEEA and CCMA in 2013. Amanda’s interests are in the areas of Masculinities, Gender Based Violence and Sexualities Adolescent Reproductive Health Body Image Issues and Equal Opportunity Practices in the workplace. Amanda is also skilled in Gender Analysis and planning, Gender training, Advocacy and Research. She holds a BA in Economics and Sociology, an MPhil in Sociology with a major in Gender Based Violence and a PhD in Development Studies with a specialization in masculinities.
