Robert Dela Yao Mawuenyegah

Robert Dela Yao Mawuenyegah is an astute Communications, Events and Management Professional with about 11 years of professional practice. He was the Communications and Administrative Officer for Ubora Institute, a Pan African not- for profit organisation incorporated in Ghana as ‘Ubora Quality INSTITUTE’ with an operational base in Accra, Ghana and running Quality Improvement Projects with various Ministries of Health and Partners across Africa and beyond (Nigeria, Liberia, Namibia, Ethiopia, Ghana and India).

Mr Mawuenyegah is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Global NewsWatch Media and Communications Limited and also manages a faith-based online news portal Newswatchgh.com. He also provides Media consultancy support to Caritas Ghana, African Institute of Healthcare Quality, Safety & Accreditation (AfIHQSA) and the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) in areas of Strategic Communications, Events and Media Coordination. His passion for Development Communications drives his interest in Social Impact activities in Health, Environment, Education and Policy Design and Implementation. He is an active member of the Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) and an Accredited Associate Member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR).

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies (Public Relations) from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and an Advanced Diploma in Journalism from the University of Education, Winneba. Robert studied Global Business and Sustainability (Social Entrepreneurship) at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart of Milan, (ALTIS) Italy an MBA programme hosted by the Catholic Institute of Business & Technology (CIBT) now being hosted by the University of Professional Studies in Accra. Before joining the Ubora Institute, Robert was the Programme Officer for the Department of Social Communications (DEPSOCOM) of the National Catholic Secretariat in Accra.

He worked closely with the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the various Departments, Directorates, and Units within the Secretariat. Robert is happily married to Mrs. Gloria Yawa Akpene Mawuenyegah and he loves travelling, Business and Social Networking, Monitoring Social Media, Radio and Television Discussions, Storytelling and Sharing Jokes, Reading, Writing, Advocacy, Voluntary Services and a Professional Master of Ceremonies.
