Stephen Kemetse is an experienced Digital Transaction Banker with expertise in Financial Inclusion, Payments, Financial Technology (Fintech), Product Management, Cash Management and Banking Operations. Stephen is currently the CEO of Payplus Africa, a Fintech with innovative products in the Ghanaian and soon to expand to other markets in Africa.
He is also a Senior Partner at Greyseed Digital a training and consultancy firm. He carries out training and consultancy in the areas of Financial Inclusion, Financial Technology, Cash Management, Product Management and Sales. He designs and implements solutions to transform customer engagement, reduce operational cost, automate and improve processes and provide visibility of treasury and financial management at executive level. He has expertise in solution structuring, implementation and delivery of financial services
In addition to his current role at the Centre for Social Justice, Stephen also chairs the board of ESA Pension Trust and serves as a member of the board of M&B Seeds and Agricultural Services Ghana Limited and as well as J&J Plastics Limited. Prior to his current roles, Stephen was the Regional Head of Ecobank’s Transaction Banking business in Anglophone West Africa. He led the sustained growth of the transactional banking operations in Ghana and West Africa.
He has been involved in several market led digital banking infrastructure projects and reforms in Ghana and other markets in Africa. Stephen has a Master of Business Administration from the GIMPA Business School and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ghana. He has “Diplôme D’études en Langue Française” from the French Ministry of Education and a Financial Technology Certification from the Harvard X Program.
